All our theory courses are designed to assist and complement your own personal study.
Students will require their own study books, maps and navigation equipment.
Please see the “Students” tab for information on study packages that can be ordered through relevant suppliers.

The courses have a number of days they are run over, however they do not need to be consecutive days in most cases. We aim to provide options for people who need to be flexible with their study. Both courses can be broken up into 2,3,4 days per week (dependant on location and travel) to fit in with a students work/life commitments.

Private Pilot License – Helicopter, PPL(H)

This course is 12 days in total, covering all 7 subjects required to sit the CASA PPL-(H) exam.
Subjects are:

  • Human Factors
  • Meteorology
  • Aerodynamics
  • Aircraft General Knowledge
  • Operations, Performance and Planning
  • Navigation
  • Flight Law

Commercial Pilot License – Helicopter, CPL(H)

This course is 17 days in total, covering all 7 subjects to sit the 7 individual CASA CPL(H) exams.

We understand that sometimes there is only 1 person needing to complete their study and we are here to help accommodate all students and assist them to finish their license.

 Individual Subjects

We are available to teach just individual subjects that you may need. If you are having trouble with only certain subjects and do not need to do the full theory course then we can provide and instructor help you get through the subject and exam.

Individual subjects are done in one block period for each subject.

Hourly Rates

Our hourly rate for an instructor is $50. (exclusive of travel and expenses)

We can provide an instructor on hourly rates for revision of a subject prior to sitting the exam and for going through your Knowledge Deficiency Reports – KDR’s – once you have completed your exams.

A revision of your KRD’s is required prior to your flight test.
